La Tene III Celtic Sword

Mark from Ollin Sword Design made the blade for this sword. It is a double fullered sword from the La Tène III period and most known from the Port finds. The upper and lower guards are from one piece of apple and the grip sections are from another. In addition to the very wild grain pattern there is also some figuring. The middle grip section is cow bone. The pommel sphere and guard plate are steel and were left darkened from heating. The sword now comes with its metal scabbard that is appropriate for the period.
