OLD NEWS......
December 17, 2010 - We have added a Lochaber Axe under available pieces and the Vougle under Portfolio. The La Tene III Celtic Sword is pending.
November 11, 2010 - The Xiphos and the Lisnacroger have both been sold. The Sword of Spheres is now complete and available for purchase. We are beginning work on a couple new projects - pics will come soon.
September 27th, 2010- The Xiphos is now available to purchase (AND IS ON SALE). The Lisnacroger is pending. We are beginning work on a couple new projects - pics will come soon.
August 22, 2010 - The Xiphos, a custom order, has been completed and can be found under Portfolio.
April 20, 2010 - We have added the Early Single Edge Norwegien Sword under Portfolio, as it will be kept. I have also added a page for the Xiphos, a custom order which is under Projects until completed.
March 11, 2010 - Shane has just finished an order for a second Double Fullered La Tene III.
February 11, 2010 - The Crow Falcata has been sold. The Crane Falcata will be kept. Shane is also working on a custom Xiphos (pictures later) and another Double Fullered La Tene (similar to the other under portfolio.
December 7, 2009 - One of the falcatas has been finished and is currently available for purchase. I also wanted to share some of the projects that have been completed this fall. First, a viking sword was completed - this one will be kept. Shane also completed an irish shield recently.
September 20, 2009 - The Lisnacrogher Irish Sword has been completed and is currently available for purchase.
August 24, 2009 - A page has been added to the Available Pieces for the recent completion of a Macahuitl by both myself and Mark at Ollin Sword.
July 27, 2009 - We have added a page documenting the progress of the FALCATAS. We will keep updating the page as things progress.
July 8, 2009 - We have been working on more forging today. These are a few of the projects. This is the second falcata blade, a falx, and a la tene knife.
July 2, 2009 - The Owslebury British La Tene sword has been finished and is now available. We are also working on forging the falcatas. They should be sent to Mark at Ollin Sword Design soon for grinding and fullering before being sent for heat treat.
June 16, 2009 - During the recent workshop day, we worked on a metal scabbard for Nate Bell as well as some bronze fittings for a sword he is working on finishing.
The site is still in the process of being updated. We have added information on the projects that have been completed under "Portfolio." Each item now has its own page with additional information about the piece.

Mark of Ollin Sword Design and Shane of Iron Age Armoury will be hosting a "Workshop Day" on June 6th here in South Bend, Indiana. We have a variety of projects in the works and will likely be doing various things such as metalworking, woodworking, wax carving, and possibly wood carving as well. This is a chance to see what we are doing as well as to show off what you are working on and get help, advice, input, or ideas. Nathan Bell and Shane are planning on working on an iron scabbard for Nate that weekend. We will probably also be doing some hilt work. Probably will also plan to do some test cutting Saturday as well.
If you are working on a project and need help/advice/input/ideas, bring them with you. If you aren't sure what to do next, how to do what you want to do, etc., come and get advice from swordmakers and enthusiasts. If you want to watch or help others work on their projects, feel free to show up without a project of your own.
